Technological focus of emergentec is virtual screening workflows for unravelling functional dependencies on the basis of heterogeneous data spectra from ‘omics’ and other high throughput sources in a computational Systems Biology context.

Role of the participant in the project and main tasks:
EMTEC will be responsible for the development, use and handling of a multi-client, web based, data repository aimed at organizing and sharing research documents as generated in the course of Predict-IV, will contribute to the design and the implementation of this data management system for providing a joint source for analyzing in vitro and in vivo data (WP1), will apply its discoveryBASE workflow for identification of biomarkers based on differential gene expression data (WP4.1), and will design and evaluate meta-models by utilizing machine learning approaches (WP5).
